About Curt's Service
Quality Auto Repair for the Metro Detroit Area

Curt's Service Front

In 1981, Curt's Service opened with the goal of providing the best auto repair the Detroit area has available. After 30 years, Curt's Service has grown into one of the community's most trusted and advanced automotive service centers, making it the perfect dealership alternative. Built on the loyalty of an ever-growing list of satisfied customers, we give you the same top quality of expertise found at a dealership, but provide a much better value. Our cost effective auto repair services are backed by a 2 year/24,000 mile warranty and friendly, convenient customer support.

In March 2012, we expanded our business and built an 8,000 square foot green services addition. We're proud to be your favorite Metro Detroit area auto repair shop as well as one of the most environmentally friendly shop!

To ensure the highest levels of Detroit auto repair service, we've adhered to the most stringent certification and accreditation standards in the industry. Curt's Service is Bosch Service Authorized, ASE Certified, and ASA Approved, and a AAA Approved Auto Repair Center!

Our History

Curt's Service started out as a Sunoco in 1981, than transitioned to a Mobil fuel and service station. In 1985 we purchased our original location on 11 Mile Road and got out of the fuel business. In 2012 we completed our all "Green" service center addition doubling our capacity. Watch the below video for details!

Metro Detroit area customers are the reason behind our success, and we always want to give back to the community. Because our community has been so generous to us, we sponsor the local school district and its website. We also sponsor the Tri-Community Coalition.

Our Team

Kurt and Andy

Curt

Owner, Bosch & ASE Master Certified Technician, ASE accredited Service Consultant

Curt opened the doors to his auto repair business in 1981 at a Sunoco gas station & 3 bay repair garage. It has been a long, but gratifying, road since then. You will often see Curt in our Detroit auto repair shop with the rest of the guys getting his hands dirty; some old habits die hard. Curt enjoys spending time in the summers fishing and relaxing on his boat with his wife, family, and even Coco the cat. He also likes to get away from cars and take a ride on his motorcycle, rain or shine. Ask him about his week ride to Alaska and back!

Andy

Owner, Bosch & ASE Master Certified Technician, ASE accredited Service Consultant

Andy has been in the business his entire life, and began full time in 2001 after leaving Northwood University. Starting out as a kid picking up ball bearings around his dad's shop, Andy has earned his certification as an ASE Master Technician as well as worked in several positions including Service Writer and General Manager. Andy has been married since 2008 and, when he is not traveling with his wife or working, he likes to participate in extreme sports such as skiing, snowboarding, scuba diving, rock climbing, and motorcycle riding.

Greg

Greg

ASE accredited Service Consultant

Started 8/2012

Greg has worked here at Curt's Service for over 5 years and has been working in the automotive industry in total for about 15 years. Prior to joining our team, he was with a large local dealership and decided to join our 'family'and focus on quality service vs quantity service. You won't find Greg here too late on a summer evening as he will be doubling with his wife as lifeguard for their son and daughter in their pool. If you are looking for any sports or tuner car tips, Greg would be more than happy to advise

Jayson

Jayson

General Manager/ASE accredited Service Consultant

Started 8/2013

Jayson has been in the automotive service industry for several years, though he has a past in community service such as an EMT and Firefighter. He is also a professional guide for the city of Detroit! If you ever want a personally guided tour of some of the great features of the city that it is today or was 100 years ago, he's your guy. Back at the office Jayson has the difficult, but critical task of making certain that all of the parts that we need to service our customers' vehicles are in stock and available. Working with the technician's here at Curt's we have developed a stringent process of making sure that we get nothing but the best 'technician preferred parts'for your vehicle.

Aaron

Aaron

Bosch & ASE Master Certified Technician, Heavy Duty Vehicles

Started 7/1994

Not to be boastful, but Aaron is kind of a big deal. Aaron has been on the Curt's Service team for over 20 years. He received some of his mechanical training from the U.S. Air force where he practiced as a technician on anything that had an engine. We're certain that some of his other values may have
developed from that disciplined lifestyle as well. In 2016, he was awarded as Bosch/ASE Master Automobile Technician of the Year. He's originally from Michigan's Upper Peninsula so he is a true Yooper at heart.

mike

Mike

Master Technician

Mike previously served as a Lead Technician at Felp’s Auto Service and joined the Curt’s Service team after moving nearby to start a family. He particularly enjoys those specific jobs that challenge him – and we know we can count on him to do the job efficiently and quickly.

ron

Ron

Master Technician

Ron is very excited to be joining the Curt’s Service team. Before getting certified to work as a technician, he was as a Used Car Salesman, a Detailer at Grayling Ford, and a cook. Eager to getting the job done right, he loves learning anything and everything that will make him a better technician. In his spare time, Ron likes going to concerts of various genres, fishing, and camping in the summer, and spending time with his wife and children.

keith

Keith

Shop Foreman, Bosch & ASE Master Certified Technician

Started 6/2005

Keith is our “hands-on” guy in the back. He supports all of the technicians in getting the cars lined up and checked out in the most effective way possible. When the shop is at capacity and can take on no more, he always takes the time to make sure that you are safe. But Keith also assists in anything and everything our other departments here at Curt’s Service needs – whether giving estimates, or ordering parts we can always count on Keith to step up to the plate. Keith grew up with a wrench in his hand, which seems to be the family calling. When not having fun at work he likes to go boating, fishing, snowmobiling, and target shooting.

brian

Brian

Bosch & ASE Master Certified Technician, Advanced Engine Performance

Started 7/2003

Brian is one of our top surgeons. When it comes to fixing cars he really knows his patient. Doesn’t matter what Make, Model, Color, Shape or Size he is able to speak their language and get down to the inner systems in which it is all the same. He has been “practicing” since 87 and we’ve been lucky enough to have him for about 15 years. When he’s done giving life back to these vehicles he likes to spend his with his Son and Daughter relaxing. Though it may not always be relaxing, he does like to “swear at the little white ball” known to some as golfing.

jerome

Jerome

Detail Manager

Jerome has been doing what he does for over 20 years. He loves restoring and customizing old cars, which makes him a perfect fit for the Curt’s Service team. He has worked at various other shops doing what he does and has lived in the Metro Detroit area his entire life. When he’s not working on cars either here or at home you might find him vacationing up north.

John

John

Master ASE Technician

Becoming a technician is part of the family business. Son to Aaron, John is one of our top techs and we’re lucky to have him part of the Curt’s Service Family! He’s been working as a technician for 6 years now, and he particularly enjoys that every day here is never the same. When he’s not here at the shop well past closing hours, you may find him camping, hiking, dirt biking – anything involving being outdoors.

Connor

Connor

Master ASE Certified Technician

Connor is one of our newer technicians at Curt’s Service. He’s here to build a career as a Master Technician, and he loves working here. He hopes to be able to build a career working on high-performance jobs and electrical work. When he’s not wrenching he likes both watching and playing hockey and working and riding his mini-bike.

Mac

Mac

Tech Apprentice

Mac has been a Tech Apprentice at Curt’s Service now for two summers. He came to us through a customer recommendation and we really hit the jackpot. His work ethic is unparalleled, and when it comes to getting you in and out for an oil change or tire service he’s our go-to guy. After he graduates from high school he hopes to go to college to pursue a career in composite engineering.
